My Process

All my ceramics are thrown on a wheel, trimmed, fired, hand-dipped in glaze and fired again to nearly 2,200 degrees in a propane kiln.

Many pieces experience “reduction” (reduced oxygen) in the second firing which gives them more rich, organic, earthy tones. All pieces feature exposed highly textured ceramic surfaces not covered by colored glaze.

All items are handcrafted one at a time and some variation is to be expected.
